Welcome

Talbot House is a Charitable Trust providing education up to National Curriculum, Skills Training and Residential Care for up to 60 boys and girls aged 7 to 18 years who display emotional, social and behavioural difficulties.

Talbot House provides a flexible resource with packages of intervention, geared to help a wide range of emotional, social and behaviour difficulties, many of which present as deep-rooted conditions, often manifested from an early age.

Pupils attend Talbot House from all areas of Northern England but referrals will be considered from anywhere in the UK, since residential care is available to suit need.

Talbot House exists because sometimes a child’s difficulties simply cannot receive relevant attention in mainstream schools or in the home environment.

Talbot House is totally child and parent/carer centred.

‘How can we best help this young person?’ is a constant daily question.

Our intention is to give young people a unique educational opportunity. We seek to faciltate personal growth in education and in emotional and social development within a warm and secure environment where the care, welbeing, happiness and educational development of each individual is valued in equal measure.

Please contact Andy James - Director of Services on 01912290111 or Andy.James@talbothouse.newcastle.sch.uk  to discuss how we might help.
